![]() Well you can't play Beastlord here, so...
If you want to play a solo caster but don't want Necro, consider Mage. Not as strong a solo player as a Necro, but certainly easy enough. If you're willing to give Enchanter a shot, they can be wicked strong and solo like mad. As for grouping on those, Chanters are always super handy in groups, and mages do some nice damage (Especially with Epic Pet). If Wis casters are your flavour, Druid if you like to move, Shaman if you don't. Shaman will get you far more groups than a druid will however.

![]() Enchanters have an uncontrollable pet that they can summon like a mage pet (Uses tiny daggers). They can also charm a pet and control it, but are at the whim of the charm duration.

![]() The enchanter's summon pet is actually a pretty decent tank for soloing or even extra dps in a group when you don't want to deal with charming. The downside being you have no control over it and have to get attacked for it to engage.
But it is definitely a solid option if you don't have CHA gear. A lot of people underestimate it. But it definitely is better at higher levels. Basically pre-24 its kinda useless I'd say. http://wiki.project1999.com/Pet_Guide#Enchanter_Pets I have personally seen a 49 enchanter pet solo a seafury. I think that's impressive. Seafury was slowed and the pet was hasted. Great combo and no risk of charms breaking [You must be logged in to view images. Excellent choice while grouping there. Charisma is king when it comes to charming as an enchanter. You'll want 200+ unbuffed then as close to capped as possible when you're buffed.

![]() Oh yeah, the floaty weapon isn't -bad-
But it's certainly not as strong as charm is. Plus, if you charm "kite", you get two chunks of XP for the price of one! But good old Animation's are also great for starting to break camps. Gives you a nice buffer against a mez/lull resist that you can just click "Go Away" on right before your charm spell finishes casting. Never underestimate the pet, just understand that it's like the house cat as Daywolf says. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
