FBSS - 12k
Plat Fire wedding ring x 2 - 550 for both?
Diamondine Earring - 600-750 ea.
Crown of the Froglok Kings - 500?
Wu's Pants, Shoulders, Feet, Gloves - 250-400?
Dented Brass Mask - 150?
Beartooth Necklace - 100?
Azure Sleeves - 150?
EBM x 2 - 500 for both?

too lazy to do the math, think I'm missing a cloak and bracers. If you can snag a HBC or Granite Bracers, those are ideal. However, those are kind of pricey so maybe snag bracers of battle or something. BTW, there could be better cheap items than the ones I listed available, those were just the items that first came to mind off the top of my head. Hunt around a bit, for some slots there are quite a few options, and for others you're really limited.

The expensive items I listed above I think are best value, but not best in slot. Some bigger ticket items that will last you longer and to think about are:

HBC - 2.5k
Grainte Bracers - 3.5k
Gatorscale Leggings - 1-1.5k
Black Saph Earrings - 4-5k ea.
Black Saph Neck - 4-5k
Crown of King Tranix - 8-9k
Djarns Amethyst Ring - 7k?
TBB - 2-3k

Also, quest your RotLC as soon as you can. The other options for monk chest item kind of blow (lockjaw, foreman's, and sythrax (sp) hide).

EDIT: I don't know who made that P99 wiki entry, but I'd disagree with some of their choices. They are clearly gearing for STR (dps) and not AC/Resist/HP (pulling).

Wouldn't you want to buy twink weapons as well? AFAIK there are some 1hb you can get that are better than fists until 40ish.

Get sharkbone warhammers instead of EBMs. They're 2 delay better at 8/26. And they're not too expensive. I'm not sure of the price at the moment but they're definitely under 1k each. Don't skimp on weapons when you can get better.

I made the bulk of that wiki list(someone removed my allakazahm links though /grumble). What choices do you disagree with? I have every item you listed on the wiki except for granite bracers and beartooth necklace. I agree with you that AC/Resist/HP are more important than str most of the time and I think the list reflects that.

I was looking at the planar list. I don't understand that really. Is "pre-planar" items that you suggest to a monk without planar access and "planar" a list of items suggest to a monk with planar access? Because if so, I disagree with the items listed under planar as the items clearly favor a monk gearing for DPS as opposed to pulling.

I guess I just don't understand the two different pre/post planar lists and their purposes.

I chose to stack AC and HP on my twink monk. Items like a Glowing Bone Collar and a Lockjaw Hide Vest are two examples of gear that I picked over popular and more expensive choices like a Runed Lava Pendant and a Syythrak Hide Vest. One reason is that I thought it might be more fun to have a twink with only mid-level gear. The other is that I wanted him to have high mitigation and survivability.

I keep strength and stamina potions in his inventory for added dps and hp, but I am unaware of any potions that can give you raw AC. This is the logic I used when I chose not to gear for dps. I don't think a twink should be geared for extremes, though, and a lot of his ac/hp gear does have strength on it. Diamondine Earrings are one example of how you can get a little bit of both.

One note, if you want to get him a RLP, think about camping it. The mob that drops it also drops DS pots which could be helpful leveling up. Right now I think I have like a 14 or 15 lava pots on a druid I was using to farm the RLP (I wear black saph, wanted RLP for DPS set).
