Looking for someone to spam hail a particular NPC in North Qeynos newbie yard for around an hour while I do turn-ins for faction. Get up to amiable faction, then do Koalindl fish. It's so much faster.

This is a good tip, I should try it on the Rivervale NPC for the Nillipuss quest, he always runs off halfway thru the turnin!
Would Root work as well?

Snare lasts a lot longer than root.

No, afaik root wears off once you zone/log

I'm pretty sure I've seen root endure after the caster zones. But snare lasts a lot longer, as a previous poster said.

if a mob normally walks, then a snare will effectively root them... root wont last as long.

snare parking mobs by zonelines = fun
