Random LD's

Hey Guys,

I keep going LD for no reason. I'm not exactly sure what is causing it.

The issue will sometimes not happen all night but then other times it happens every 10 minutes.

It's almost as if I lose internet connection for a split second and EQ wont reconnect with the server.

I have not experienced this issue with any other server I played/play on.

If you need any other info to help me figure this out, I'll happily give you anything you need.

Is it an LD, whereas you can see the connection bar slowly receding?
Is it a instant drop to character select, server select, or the login page?
How do you connect to the internet (IE router, modem, wireless, etc)?
Has this always happened, or just started occuring?
Does it happen when you enter certain zones?

Could be lots of things...

If it's an LD where you actually lose the connection, check your hookups (router, modem, etc). I would get some random LDs with my router until I upped the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) to 1500, and that pretty much solved everything. I also disabled PnP detection on my router which makes things go much quicker.

I would think it safe to say it isn't a problem with the servers.
