Default Possibility of minor improvements?

The other day I was medding on my Iksar Necro and realized... I don't have the skeleton of an Iksar! Somehow after my skin peels off, there's a human skeleton underneath.

I know there are models for male and female Iksar skeletons, and I'm wondering if it would be theoretically feasible to display these (at least on client side). It has just started bothering me more and more, every time I see a gnome turn into a human skeleton it bugs me too. The Iksar skeletons are supposedly in the global files already.

I know it's not classic, but it would be Classic+.

What other kinds of extremely minor tweaks would make you happy?

There's no winning for losing once you start down that road, there're simply too many different opinions.

The devs seem to be determined to deviate deliberately from classic only when they view it as necessary to curtail bad behavior by players (ex: the <L5 zoning restrictions) or stop game-breaking exploits (ex: the Ivandyr's Hoop nerf). Changing that approach would break with the vibe that made/makes p99 what it is. I can't see that as desirable regardless the little things that irritate you, me, or anybody else.

Insert "Not Classic" rant here.

But I like your style.

I always wanted gnome necros to have the illusion of a gnome skeleton, would make the race decision much easier [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

There's some precedent for this sort of thing: The ship in Ocean of Tears runs in the geographically correct direction instead of the classic but wrong reversed direction.

Interesting. Yeah it was clearly a bug, not even just a bug... an annoying oversight. Glad it's fixed here [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

You may be right, it just seems like maybe the original devs ran out of time when coding Lich spells for Iksar, or else why would Iksar skeletons be in the global files? Peering into this, I can sort of see their original design and intent.

I'm sure there are other problems as well, just wanting to see if anybody else had some little issues that bothered them too.

Halfling sized skeleton on my screen would be neat with AoN or a pint sized DE, but alas.

Classic boat models that don't require lev has been a dream of mine ever since I started playing here.
