Good News, EQ Live New Server starts Wednesday

Everyone starts at level 1, no charachter transfers, brand new server on EQ live! I'm excited, going to get into it again. Its with all expansions, but everyone starts fresh and its NOT a progression server. Good news! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

why start a new normal server when they just got done doing server merges?

if all the expansions are in game, its not going to be a lot of fun, everyone will hit PC til 25, then head to TSS zones til 50 or 60, then do the farm in dragonshire or w/e that zone is in SoF and be 80 with 500 AAs in a few weeks.

The server is called Trakanon, it has ALL zones if you have the expansion (not progression), it's a normal server. They will also be adding a progression server in the future, but thats not this server.

New Server Launching Next Week - We will be launching a brand new server with our Game Update on Wednesday 9/8/10. Trakanon is the name chosen by you in our poll results. Character Transfers will not be permitted to Trakanon but we may allow it some day in the future.

(You can read further in the post, he states this is a new server, everyone starts at level 1, a normal server, no char transfers, all zones, etc. Yes, there is also talk about adding a progression server which will happen, but that is not this server)

If only pre kunark expansion is in game, it's not going to be alot of fun, everyone will hit guk till 35, then head to solb till 50, then do the farm in hate or w/e that zone is in planes and be poopsocking loot with +charisma in a few weeks.

Well i imagine there'll be no hot zones or any rubbish like that, and depending on how popular it is, you might have a bunch of people going to different zones.

I can see what the attraction is though, a chance to be the first on a bunch of stuff, be the dominant guild, not be able to start a new character and with 500p have him in better gear than most of the players on p99.

It would be nice to be on a server where nobody can be PL'd ahead of you. That being said some players don't have jobs and multibox so it will never truly be an even playing field.

Not exactly sure how mercenaries work but if they are in the game along with multiboxing well than shit can get pretty damn silly during that race to whatever the level cap is these days.

Is there even a max to how many AA's you can acquire any more? Or do they basically want you to exp grind forever?
