Default wasps in Misty Thicket

There needs to be a lot more of them. I've only counted one "a giant wasp" that spawns. There should also be "a large wasp" the spawns on the Rivervale wall side. I've been looking on vendors, and slaughtering the zone for a while now trying to get "a giant wasp wing" for Blixkin's quest.

I see 5 possible spawns for giant wasps. How many more should there be?

Large wasp.. I don't see existed classically. If someone can provide some evidence of it, I'll work on getting it in.

Damn, Misty Thicket went through TWO revamps?! All I remember is most of the wasps turning into yellow jackets, an untargetable scare crow, and drakes showing up in zone. Prior to that, it was giant wasp vs large wasp on either side. This is also the first time I've seen Allakhazam cache fail me:

Chomper is in the bestiary list, he spawns in Rivervale. And a mangy rat?! Wasps should be on day/night cycle. Multiples should spawn on the hill with all of the cut down trees, three I think. Five total spawns in the database? Never seen them all, only witnessed one in two hours. There's also a lack of young kodiaks, they used to be one of the tougher things to deal with hunting in Misty Thicket, there always seemed to be too many of them when the zone was empty. Maybe what really needs to happen is just the percentage rate on the spawn tables upped for the wasps? Dread corpses also existed rarely in Misty Thicket as commented below on the archive.org link. This also might help some:

Here is some locations of NPCs on some German page.

edit: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=14121, looks like dread corpse exists after all! Wow

You might already know this, so don't take this as condescending, but lots of non-named mobs have placeholders, the best example off the top of my head are crag spiders in EK. If only crag spiders are killed, eventually there will be no crag spiders, until someone kills the scores of chasm crawlers that spawned in place of them.

This could be the case out there in misty thicket. Try wiping out the surrounding area and seeing if you get more wasps.

I was wiping out even the goblin and orc camps (whee faction). If it moved, Jabann was killing it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

-Chomper already appears in Rivervale.

Pending update:
-mangy rats populated into Misty. They will kos players as well as npcs.
-increased chances of seeing giant wasps and young kodiaks

As far as the day/night cycle for the wasps, any links or evidence about them? Never played a halfling :P

Right, but I was saying Allakhazam is erroneous for listing him in Misty Thicket, so it's not a definitive resource, but it is better than nothing.

Here, here. Yes, it's 2001, but I'm fairly certain it's always been that way. I didn't play a half-ling either (until I made my ranger), but Misty Thicket is where I almost always did 5-13 on other characters. That bandage quest was just too good to me on a PVP server. Yay faction.

I remember there being a night cycle for a few mobs, not sure if it was wasps though.
