PLease help me play EQ!

I am desperately trying to manage with my mild computer literacy... I got the titanium edition installed with no prior use of torrents or virtual disk drives, though I had to uninstall my current EQ to make it function finally... and as I am grinning ear to ear trying to log in the first time, I am greeted by a crash after server screen stating

"The instruction at 0x02cc1c6b referenced memory at 0x00000018. The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to terminate the program" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have no clue what I am doing... I used the easy installer tool because this kicked my butt last night trying to figure out (what ended up just being issues with existing eq files apparently because one unistalled, titanium installed cleanly)

on a Toshiba satellite l775, windows 7, fwiw.

Thank you in advance whoever helps me have the classic EQ I've been missing for 12+ years! Can't wait to explore faction cities again instead of that sorry excuse for a wow knock off that is the new eq tutorial and zones, gear, and quests [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Edit: NEVERMIND! I just altered resolution and WE HAVE LIFTOFF!!!!

It looks like you need to handle your resolution settings --- nevermind, I see now you found the solution.

im having this same problem on my new laptop. Can you tell me what resolution you used to get the game to work?

im running windows 8.1 and a Toshiba laptop
