i just read a forum post about bard ae kiting and how it should be illegal on the new server. nonsense really, i dont care about that.

but it did make me start to wonder about the player base. i was thinking how silly it is that people play such an old game and use exploits to powerlevel and stuff.

so here comes my question. what kind of joy can people find in doing stuff like this. for me, the fun of eq comes with grouping up with new people and fighting against the computer opponent. ill probably be able to get into pvp on the new server but i dont see how its going to be any fun for anyone when theres so many people that will just PL to 60 asap and deck out all their lowbie toons in fungi tunic to just run around and grief the whole playerbase. i dont understand where the fun comes from when there is no challenge to killing your opponent. especially on such a relic of a game, where every pixel has been analyzed and made available on many guides online (i.e. alla, p99 wiki, ect.)

is there any chance of this new server being about fun and less about epeen comparison?

id suspend for getting caught using a new sploit
post the crime and punishment (no naming names)
ban for all anyone caught using it after the ruling

pvp is imo how the game is meant to be played.. the inability to attack anything in game seems silly. but corpse campers and forum jockeys ruin this for any new/lowbie players.. im just wondering if maybe after 13 years have these lowlives died/moved to a retirement home so people who enjoy RP and virtual immersion can have some fun?
