Default Newb Shaman Armor?

Hey there, so I have a new level 16 troll shaman and was wondering if anyone can give me reccomendations on what to do for armor. Are there armor quests I should be doing? Should I just save plat and try to buy some banded?

Thanks!

Full set of banded 'til 30, do totemic quests from 30-40, then get kunark stuff (Jade Prod, Jaundiced, etc)

I would say go to this website and make a list/spreadsheet of the ones that interest you.
http://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Shaman_Equipment

Next, because wiki's prices are temporarily gone, you can go here and put in the item name to get an idea of what it's going for.
http://ahungry.com/eqauctions/

Delete any that are way too high. Try to have enough money to where you have your next spell set in the bank. Then, if you have any left. Start buying a piece or two at a time. You won't be able to buy everything at once obviously.

Below are some commonly for sale budget items (almost all under 500pp).

Earrings: Jasper Gold Earring +3 wis = 30-40pp ea., Polished Bone Hoop +10 mana = 10pp ea.
Helm: Crown of leaves +5 wis = 100pp, Nightshade Wreath +5 wis/int 150-250pp
Face: Platinum Ruby Veil +7 wis/str = 350-400pp, Bloodstone Eyepatch AC 4 Agi/Wis +3 100pp
Neck: Glowing Bone Collar +25 mana/hp 400-500pp, Chrysoberyl Talisman AC 5 Wis +3 Mana +20 = 300-400pp, Black Iron Medallion +3 wis/int 30-100pp
Cloak: Mammoth Hide or Molten Cloak +4 wis 1500-2k, Kunzar AC 7 Wis/Int +2 Sv Fire +10 = 150pp
Shoulders: Embroidered Black Cape AC 4 HP +15 Mana +20 400-500pp, Lizardscale Mantle AC 5 Wis/Int +3 = 100pp
Feet: GEBS 5k, Wolf Fur Slippers +20 mana 500pp, Kobald-hide boots AC 5 Agi 3 hp +10 = 75-100pp
Hands: Split Paw Hide Gloves: AC 4 Dex +3 Wis +2 = 20-50pp
Legs: AC 7 HP 15 Wis +4 Gatorscale Leggings 1200-1500pp, Feathered leggings +7 sta 50-75pp, Silversilk Leggings +12 hps 75-100pp
Rings: Platinum Jasper Ring +6 wis = 150=175pp ea., Platinum Skull Ring +30 hp +20 mana 150-250pp ea.
1h Weapon: Sharkbone Warhammer 8/26 +5 wis 100pp, Brell's Kegpopper 15/35 150-200pp
Shield: Charred Guardian Shield AC 10 Wis +9 = 350-400pp
2h weapon: Runewood Great Staff 22/40 100pp
Range: Beetle Stinger +4 wis/dex/agi 150pp

If you go with the lower priced items on the list, you can have a full set of gear for 1200-1500pp.

Wow! Thatnks for the info. Any hot tips on money making mobs? I know bone chips can sell well enough in EC tunnel, which is a good way to get money at low levels.

I've never played an evil race before so I don't know what kind of money making quests you might have. I leveled around blackburrow and everfrost.

Spiderling silk sells well at 1pp each. Or you can get your tailoring up really easy and combine two spiderling silks together, then combine with a low quality pelt to make padding. These sell for 10pp each. If you level up your blacksmithing a little you can make a skinning knife and turn a MQ pelt into a LQ pelt to make more padding. Otherwise LQ & MQ pelts sell for about 2pp each. You get 10pp for padding or 4pp for the mats. Your call. Padding is lightweight and stacks to 20. I'd recommend doing it. Get a large sewing kit (1pp) right away.

High quality bear skins and grizzly bear skins easily sell for 25pp each. Maybe spend a day thinning out the bears in Rathe Mtns since it's close. They are mostly near the Lake Rathe zone in area.

Find a camp where mobs drop bronze weapons to make good money.
A good example is the Nybright Sisters camp in Lesser Fay.

A couple more additions to Barack's awesome gear list:

Weapons: Wraithbone Hammer (50pp)
Bracers: Chipped Bone Bracer (400pp-ish), Polished Bone Bracer (150-200pp)
Neck: Ivory Imbued Collar (300pp-ish)
Rings: 5 AC +55HP (250pp each)

I'm a big believer in getting those +55hp rings as soon as you can. Makes
your survivability so much better.

What are those rings called, or are they just player crafted?
