Default Indigo Brotherhood Faction

Hello,

Im pretty new here and it also been a while since I have played.

I recently rolled a Troll Innoruuk Shaman to play on the red server. When I first started, my brother rolled a WE ranger. I went to gay to level with him, which lead to leveling in Crushbone. All of this would have been fine, except for the fact that I am innoruuk so that I could get the snare neck. Of course one of the turn ins for the quest is a Dragoon on indigo brotherhood faction, which was completely destroyed while killing orcs in CB.

I have done a lot of research. There are no quests I can do to raise this faction.

However, I did find that in TD, there are woodelves that give indigo brotherhood faction. I have been killing them for about 5 days straight now, and I am still conning ready to attach to the goon I need to do the turn in with (dragoon szorn).

I have a couple of questions:
1: I have killed at least a thousand of these woodelves, and my faction has not changed from ready to attack.
2: I only did maybe 1 level in crushbone - how was my faction hurt this badly?
3: Why do only 1 out of 6 of the woodelves in TD give me a faction hit?

If every WE there gave a faction hit like it should, I definitely would have been over this issue.

Im really looking forward to getting back to grinding xp, but I want the neck. What are my next steps from here? Are there any other ways to raise the faction that im missing? Is this faction working?

Please let me know!!

Thanks,
Zukek

1 - some faction hits are VERY small. You'd have to kill like a million to change it.
2 - Negatives are a much more dramatic effect almost in every case
3 - Good question... would hafta see about that.

Don't worry about the snare neck tho. It's no big deal.

There are 2 tables, and none has proven which works in p99

http://wiki.project1999.org/Faction

If you killed a thousand, you would need 1300 atleas to become treat. I believe the right one is the correct as i killed around 1500 goblins to get apprehensively to chardok.

Every positive faction hit per monster is +1.
Every negative faction hit per monster is -4.

Exceptions to nameds which i have no idea how many faction would you get(in some cases same as above).

If you killed an entire level's worth, you should be very scowl and it will be a major pain to raise back up. WAD.

Thank you for the replies.

The snare neck may not be of use to many who play on blue server, but on red it is a huge advantage.

I barely killed a levels worth of mobs in CB. However, in TD, I have been killing these Woodelves non-stop for about 5 days. No movement in faction. Also, the fact that only 1 out of 6 gives a faction hit is definitely a bug - please do not move the thread.

Thanks!

You can try the elf slaves in crushbone but I imagine the orcs are gonna come after you there

I have tried this....the issue is not other orcs attacking, but that there is only 1 slave in the zone that gives a faction hit. It must be a male highelf, dwarves, woodelves, females, etc...none of them give +indigo brotherhood.

Yeah barely ever spawns those guys for IB faction. Not sure how big a faction hit they are compared to others.

Try this once yer able faction-wise to jump faster.

I am a troll warrior and I have done this quest 8-10 times it it has brought me from being dubios to them to amiable... I recomend this quest to any Troll warrior who wants to be able to train skills some place besides Grob
I've never done the quest here but maybe it gives you the right faction jumps and you won't be killing a billion npcs

Appears that the invis turn in should work on it too:

MWUHAHAHAH you guys have obviously not done your homework...if u are dub to him, just get a caster to cast INVISIBILITY on you while in trade window RIGHT BEFORE you press trade to turn in the helms [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] It ONLY took me a day to figure that one out hehe, but it took me a while to find right place :P hehe, luck be with you friend, ANY CLASS can do this char., as long as it is not KOS to the person, hehehe if u are indiff or higher conning to the guy, then u not need to follow steps above, but if u aren't indiff, and are dub, or app, go ahead and do the steps above (note* easy way to take invis off is to target nothing or yourself, and press 'a' for auto-attack, and invis will go, hehe). I hope i brought some JOY into someone today [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
