It's interesting to see how people interpret hostility or threat to status in a virtual environment where the aggressor stimuli is entirely fictional. As technology plays an increasingly important roles in our social lives, mapping contrived stimuli to appropriate natural stimuli and triggering correct behavioral responses will be important in human-machine-human interactions.
