So to correct this, Lupus is not "caused" by the sun alone, so much as its the final big bang ignition switch before full blown Lupus. It would be possible for someone with the genetics for Lupus to live better with a milder case of it by merely avoiding the sun. The sun has been demonstrated to be generally bad if you have any type of autoimmune disorder. Because the Anti-Nuclear Antibodies (ANA) are produced for some reason in very large numbers by prolonged sun exposure. These are antibodies that attack healthy living human cells. Basically your immune system is capable of attacking itself if it deems necessary and Anti-Nuclear Antibodies(ANA) are the henchmen. In a healthy individual, this is absolutely meaningless. But if you suffer from any suspicious symptoms for longer than 5 years such as joint pain, body aches, etc. Then its best to assume you may not be healthy enough for sun exposure. These are antibodies that attack healthy living human cells. ANA If that makes more sense. "didnt read, dont care, red99, tldr" etc. I always make sure people have the best information I have available.../shrug It helps me remember and refresh and exercise my own mind. Feel free to let me know how much you didn't read this though. tl;dr version If you are taking antibiotics, stay out of the sun. It can set you up for some types of Lupus even if you don't have the genetics. Incase you wondered why many antibiotic labels say "avoid sunlight".

Before inter-breeding, occupation, and colonization by the Roman Empire began, during the initial invasion, Caesar had remarked in his first-contact journals (personal diary) that the Irish/Scots/Celts were incredibly pale. A new kind of white he had never seen before. And he emphasized how they were borderline translucent. Most American people don't take into account that their ancestors may not have fucked enough Romans/Spanish/Italians during the imperial occupation of the Celt and Anglo territories. If your ancestors didn't mix and mingle with these bright and bronze people, you are even more white than the "white people" so to speak. Pure breeding (see the Royal crown of Britain, very preserved Anglo-Saxons) are unable to tan, and you can see the Queen retained the translucent white that Caesar was talking about in his journal. tl;dr In America, the sun was mass marketed as this cool hip thing. That we should all go fry ourselves in a desperate violent attempt to be more like an ethnicity we don't belong to. Science is slowly demonstrating that the sun is not cool at all, it rather sucks.
