I think a discipline could cause a "spell fizzled" message, because I'm pretty sure they're coded as spells on this server. I could be wrong, but I do know that when discs were first implemented one earlier bug was that they could be interrupted. Maybe I remember incorrectly, it's kind of hard to confirm without being able to search through the kunark bug forums.
