MDMA is "one of the components" in an ecstasy pill if you're buying shitty ecstasy. Pills/rolls should be pure MDMA, Molly should be pure MDMA, it's all the same shit.

a) Where's your biochemistry degree?

b) Learning the colloquial terms for illegal street drugs is not part of any biochemistry major I've ever heard of, so this point is completely invalid anyways.

c) In addition to Wikipedia I quoted Erowid which is the #1 resource for drug-related information on the internet. I also quoted Dancesafe which is the #1 resource for Ecstasy-related information on the internet. I could link over a hundred more professional articles/websites that all say "Ecstasy is another term for the drug MDMA" but for anyone in possession of more than one brain cell, it shouldn't be necessary at this point.

You're confusingly equating Ecstasy to pills. And that's true, pills are a form of Ecstasy. Pills are also very recently a complete crap shoot of all kinds of shitty drugs. This is the cause of shitty drug dealers. Ecstasy is not used to refer to these shitty hybrid pills, because no one would come up with a word to describe something that's not desirable. No one buys some rolls (pills) and says, "Gee I really hope this Ecstasy is cut with a bunch of DXM!"

Ecstasy and MDMA are synonymous. I realize I'm probably using words that are too big for you, so synonymous means that they mean the same thing. The same way that hemp, marijuana, pot, weed, cannabis, etc. are all terms that refer to the same plant. MDMA is the "scientific" way of describing a drug, Ecstasy is the "street" way of describing the same exact drug. It has nothing to do with the form of the drug. Molly is specific to a particular form, that being crystalline powder.

The only reason I'm continuing this is because I try to educate recreational drug users in an attempt to stop the "idiot druggy" stigma. However, you may unfortunately be a lost cause.
