Bind sight is so awesome. I STILL can't believe I played Tecmos for like 6+ months before the first time I used it to scout and get lull targets. You're right about it being annoying though, especially if you've already got a mob you want to use as a pet by you and you're trying to keep it rooted while binding+lulling in a room around a corner. Pain in the ass how bind sight goes off on your CURRENT target, even if you were targetted on something else when you began the spellcast.

I logged into crypt this morning to find emperor up, and I figured "why not?". I was a bit tight on time by the time I cleared mobs outside his room though, so I calmed the 4 skeletons inside with no problem and rooted his pet to pull, planning to use clickies to win the fight before my kids woke up.

I did have some better-than-average luck with my level 50 pet staying charmed the whole 4-minute fight... but even with eating pyrocuror and scourge right off the bat and taking time to dispel them, accidentally dispelling my pets haste when I was trying to dispel pyrocuror from myself and then it being probably a minute before I realized it, not having my pet weaponized or set up to dispel magic dots, and getting 2 adds near the end as lulls near the rooted spectre pet faded, I killed him using 'only' 2 ch clicks (one for myself cause I ate the whole pyrocuror after messing up my attempt to dispel it... lol).

I'm sure I'll see him again soon to try seriously, especially because I want better loot than the nathsar great sword and enslave death he dropped this time [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

That's actually quite impressive tecmos.

I've tried emp with an enc, and failed due to pet breaking. I just used the mobs in his room however which is a nice steady supply of junk and gives room to kite.

Will try again next time I'm down there.

Grats Tecmos.

I thought it was Velious, but yeah appears to be Luclin.

With anything, if you got enough stinging wort potions, you can take it.

http://eq.magelo.com/profile/289292 was my twinked wizard alt. EQ players appears to be broken or I'd link my Naggy/Vox alt from way back.

It definitely happened although I didn't take any screenshots.

Also, Liia and Sakuragi managed to duo General V'ghera earlier in the day. CAN YOU FEEL THAT ANTHRAX??

(it turned out he was not dual wielding and it was quite easy, so then we got overconfident and tried it without Giz, and that is definitely not possible for Sakuragi at least . . . maybe with Velious gear, but by then the BP will be nerfed). I'm quite sure we could get him with the strings though, he ran right right when my disc wore off.

I have a newb-ish question [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Back on live I played a shaman for ages, in the Kunark / Velious era. I was never in a top end guild, didn't raid much, but I did like to go solo the guardian wurms in skyfire from time to time. It got a lot easier with torpor, I remember.

My characters on P99 are still in their 20s and I'm playing it ultra casual this time round, but I'm just interested cos I find stuff like this pretty cool - how hard are the "warmup" mobs in this challenge compared to a GW? Just as a frame of reference [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
