For PvE Paladins much better then Shaman for progressing through content.

For PvP most people have your idea of Horde being the best PvPers which means more PvPers will go Horde which in turn means there should be more people to queue up against as Ally. Hopefully anyway, because long BG queues suck in classic.

WOTF was never 30 second duration. Resto druids are fucking amazing. Warlocks are fucking gods. You don't bring them for soulstone and imp buff and banish. You bring them because they shit on damage meters while providing utility. No alliance warlock gets dominated by an undead and says, "Must be because I'm Alliance!" WOTF is nice but it isn't what you're making it out to be.

Nostalrius confirmed to have more elitism than P99.

Just applied to 2 guilds, their first replies are along the lines of "your class will be very competitive, do you mind having to sit out on raids?" I think there's 25 guilds acting like they all made a top 100 retail WoW roster.

Yeah, bench me on a private server, see how that works out for you.

Letting you know that you have selected a class that is low demand is better than letting you level to 60 to tell you that you will be sitting out the first couple of MC raids because they have 3 main tank wars or 10 rogues who have been playing with them for 5 years plus and you will need to compete against them for slots.

This is not P99 where you can take unlimited players to raids as long as they are keyed

A lot of the guilds like Grizzly/MCST have been playing together for 3-4 years so those guys already come with a core of 30-35 people anyways.

I've never found a point in trying to really lock down a guild before the server has even come out. You dont know who's going to end up actually making it to 60 and when, and if the people you signed up to play with over the forums are even any good or enjoyable.

There should be a /world chat so I don't think finding groups or leveling should be any different with or without a guild.

Semi-hardcore and casual guilds form after launch. Don't worry, like already said, its a private server... Gone are the days of high school where responsibilities were non-existent, where I had to use those 60 day time cards because I didn't have a credit card yet.

Point is many of us don't have that extra time to do the extra work, we have actual jobs and don't need a game to become that second one. I for one want this to be something to just unwind on after a full day of work. I do the exact same with P99 although the difference is when it was 99-01 I was in elementary school, had dial up, and no 3d graphics card. I had some 4MB integrated piece of crap in my Celeron 400 so D2, SC and AoE were basically it for me lol so P99 is totally new to me in the first place.

Also I would be down for a P99 guild.
