Purple server has more potential than I think most people acknowledge.
Red players want PvP right? Well, they'd get at least as much PvP if they all turned their tomes in and were together on blue. Plus there's potential for more PvP with guildwar, blues going red to chase reds out of a camp they want, and more shenanigans like that. Of course if "red" players actually are after something other than PvP (I'm sure none of them are after pixels or ganks right? No, of course not), this wouldn't really work.
Blue players want PvE right? Well they still get it, cause they can be blue all they want. If reds are at a camp they want and they refuse to PvP to get them out, then they are in the same situation as if blue players were there before them and they had no way of making them leave (legally).
Both players get a larger server, more people to play with (though there'd be some issues with how reds and blues can interact with each other), a more robust economy. Reds get AT LEAST as much PvP, and almost certainly more.
Of course then I'd have to see people using retardspeak on blue server, every other fucking word being "pras" and shit. That I could do without.
They wouldn't do it though. Too much risk messing up the blue experience for many hundreds of people who enjoy it just to keep 50 hardcore PvPers entertained.
