If you work. Raise children. Or are actually physically disabled and can't play for more than an hour at a time. I just recommend you log off and never look back. Invest that hour into yoga, or baking, or gardening, or learning blender 3D. Or electrolysis. Or reading.

I lost the drive to compete online around WoW burning crusade.. it gets toxic like you describe, best just enjoy yourself.

That said I’ve never reached max level in EQ.. always have just enjoyed the journey of leveling in this game. Low key wish the game would just wipe every two years but I understand why others wouldn’t agree.

I mean, yeah, you can play blue, red, and green casually it's possible.

Irony being that OP is one of the most mentally unwell people on the forum and the raid scene is largely populated by responsible adults with WFH jobs, lives, and families.

There's tons of unemployed nutcases out there in more casual guilds and just solo farming and hoarding plat, arguably they are more attracted to those things than raiding guilds which tend to be highly structured, organized, rules based, and require a fair amount of social skills to navigate.

I've never had more than 10k plat in the bank and most of my characters are naked.

Hate to break it to you its your structured guilds that supports those crazy pixel hoarders, even encourages them and incentivizes that behavior. Beneath every 5 "healthy" raiders is 1 guy on a shift for naggy, or fungi, or tranny crown.

Anyway. I don't mind because modern wow and EQ both provide alternatives to that sickness.
