Is it true that if you give a quest NPC 4 waters ( 1 in each slot); it resets them or was that just a different server years ago? As the years march onward, it can get foggy trying to remember all this crap.

Back when Auld Lang Syne was very young, I managed to complete the full Leatherfoot Raider skullcap quest on Borgnach in his teens. It was a guild (server) first. The hat itself was great to wear and I suddenly had a get out of jail free card on my rogue, which was very valuable as I often attempted to solo mobs in strange locations.

I was gloating about this cap and I placed it in the bottom slot of my inventory. I must have had a key bound to those bottom slots and forgotten about it because less than 3 minutes after getting the hat and running around Rivervale, I fired the WC port and ended up in the Commonlands with a worthless leatherfoot skullcap.

It's still on him, and still empty.

Killing an NPC will not reset what it has in it's quest memory. Merchants stores can be reset by death to default.

worst experience on p99 was finding out they agreed to not launch or wipe any servers as long as daybreak was going to continue launching progression servers

considering daybreak did like 4 servers in just the past year our chance of seeing a fresh p99 is at an all time low

Its true that a new P99 server is coming out when average server population drops below 500 on blue and -5 on red.

P99 has been amazing. I got to do all the things I was denied, but unfortunately. I was also denied Lucin. My PC was far too shit, and my famiry far too poor for the ram upgrade requirement.

Not sure what I am going to do, because I've always wanted to see lucin and experience that aspect of EQ that I was denied.

I just wanted some RAM, thats all, just some RAM, try explaining what ram is and why I need more of to an adult when computers were brand new ;w;

They never made an agreement like that. Stop listening to rumors.

It's already confirmed by the staff that once development on Velious is complete a new server will be made that will go through the content and eventually recycle into Blue99.

I remember zoning into Sol A the first time, falling into the lava, floating downstream while trying to heal myself and find a way out, zoning into Sol B, and dying. I thought I'd never ever find that corpse.

A very kind necro summoned it for me for a donation, which is when I learned that necros can summon corpses.

Funniest thing on p99 probably BDA clawing desperately to hold onto as many pixels as possible during the Kunark rotation so that new casual guilds couldn't get their hands on them. Then when the rotation was thrown out by BDA and Taken they had to rely on FTE during Velious.

With 100s of raiders to equip and being shit at actually racing and FTE'ing they caused their own self destruction as nobody was falling for the "lets rotate" shit twice.

People quit when the pixel lines dried up and they had to cover it up by being rude to the staff about how the raid scene didn't suit them, then went to a now defunct TLP guild on live EQ.

All in all a funny account of the demise of a very bad guild who thought they were good <3
The weird thing is, I played on server ages ago before this all occured. I recall BDA being pretty cool, and a middle of the pack raid guild...

I then left game, game back after a couple years and found many changes in the raid scene, for one BDA was gone and so was TMO.

What really surprised me was how hated BDA seemed to be too, because I only recalled them being fairly respected, never hated when I first played on p99.

It's like I entered the Twilight zone. Poor BDA. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
