Beta starts on the 7th of July. I'll be main tank for our good guild, if you want a good eq2 pvp/pve experience, hit me up. You know the name.

Anybody is welcome for the beta and if you're fun to be around/good at the game, you might earn yourself a raiding spot for release.

Nobody gives a shit about RMT anymore except emu servers. Almost every single game has a legit way to convert real life currency into game currency via 30 day game time consumable items, etc.

Guess what, it didn't ruin any of the games that have it (all Daybreak games, EVE, WoW, etc).

RMT is when you get $ out of the game, like when you decide to sell your sword to someone for real $.

There's a sci-fi mmo out now that is designed to link your bank account to it.
So you can cash out anytime you decide to sell your weapons / equipment /resources,...whatever.

But see if RMT was allowed on P99 then those individuals with less playtime (assumably due to having actual RL obligations) would be able to compete at the top end.

The top end guilds might not be able to monopolize all content, then who would they get to feel "superior" over?

Funnily enough RMT IS rampant on P99 yet the GMs only punish the buyers not the suppliers. Isn't it strange that the GMs can track down joeshmoe who bought 5kpp to get started on the server but they "can't" seem to track down the individuals who are supplying LITERALLY MILLIONS OF PP to the big sellers?

HERES A HINT GMs: The suppliers just MIGGGHHHTTTT be some of the individuals who've been monopolizing all Kunark content for 5 years now and selling the stuff for loot rights.

Duh

Sony owned the rights to the fictional licensing of the Everquest lore. Which does not expire unlike the code rights. Now Daybreak owns the rights. It is in the legal agreement that you cannot profit off this Emulation.

RMT breaks that agreement, so it cannot be condoned by the Staff no matter if it's a good thing or not. And even if they could WTF would they want to do that? You mean they would want to code and manage a server while other people make money off it lol your crazy.
