the problem with the pixel train is that by time u get ur own pixels, all ur friends have quit and u no longer have any pals in ur own guild anymore.


its just a pixel train to nowhere, gear up, quit, or quit guild and join another guild.

its a never ending revolving door of madnes, but everyone should take a ride atleast for a bit, go get ur epics, and ur vp loots. it doesnt take long.

You can get your epics in Fresh or Holocaust right now. Azrael can also produce epics/sky raids with all their alliances. People are picking Holocaust over the other two for other reasons on top of pixels.

Look at the leadership/core of each guild and tell me why Fresh/Azrael look more attractive without referring to loot.

You don't have to gear up and quit. No reason you can't just play Everquest in the guild you want and accomplish whatever you need to in one of those 3 guilds. If the only reason you are playing is to get a Crown of Rile you will probably get bored the second you actually get it anyways.

I think some of the pixel burnout was caused by shitty Nihilum loot policies. Once you got a crown you pretty much were BiS and because you couldn't switch your main you were just SOL for loot. Why wouldn't you quit?

I assume Holocaust does not have this policy, and I know Azrael doesn't as they routinely give people a 2nd or 3rd crown over people without one.

been on this server for like 7 years, the only people that stay playing are generally the leadership of each guild,

and then a good rule of thumb, with every batch of 35-40 recruits, only 1 will stay past getting fully geared, which takes about 6 months if your a regular EQ player for 1 day a week pixel clear.


source : was in nihilum for 4 years, watching it happen to holo already. holo is a hungry beast, gear coming so fast for them they are burning through server pop at a fast rate.
