I live near Lake Michigan, Three Oaks, about 10 minutes inland. My family has been going to the lake behind me well before I was born. It's closer to Kalamazoo MI, a little further into the state.

Michigan sand dunes are the best. I used to live just outside of Grand Rapids for like 7 years when I was younger. Anyone not from Michigan, has no idea just how amazing Michigan (outside of Detroit) is. Traverse Bay is so tight, Mackinac Island is one of my favorite places, don't know if you ski but I love Boyne up north too. Holland MI is so nice too, I used to love going there when I was a kid seeing the tulip fields and them make wooden clogs right in front of you.
And best blueberries ever, I gotta get back to MI even for just a trip.

Blueberries are the best! We had a weird season this year, but blueberries made it. Peaches, apples, and cherries were all decimated sadly. 70 degree weather in March, then a hard frost killed most of the blossoms.
