i don't have any problems playing in front of my live-in girlfriend during downtime, but i'm delighted to hop off the computer when pretty much any opportunity presents itself in terms of dinner/drinks/shows/work/friends/date/rl whatever.

I remember my gf asking what game I was playing once. I felt ashamed to be playing a wizard / hobbit fantasy game, but then she said she used to read LOTR and Terry Brooks novels when she was a kid so she thought the idea of playing a Wood Elf Druid would be cool. I definitely dodged the bullet on that one.

However, she's more into adventuring around, buffing newbs, being protector of crush bone and tradeskilling. Not a serious "gamer-type" at all. I think she got scarred forever when a group member flamed her in public for wiping them in KC.

All in all, I think she's just happy to have me sit there on the couch and play my game next to her rather than be out late at the bars with my friends. LOL.

My Live account name was derived from my wife's maiden name. We originally shared an account, but since I outleveled her I got to keep my guy when we started a second account. We've been playing games together before and since (started with Baldur's Gate on an ad-hoc network).

So NYAAA! My wife is so effing cool... She also makes six figures and is going to let me build a detached garage/workshop for my hobby car. Commence with the jealousy.
