Yeah. It's been a couple of days now and we seem to be no closer to solving that issue. The problem is with the new dsetup.dll which doesn't work. Rogaen linked to a different one, and while that worked for most, it didn't do anything for some of us. If I use the original dsetup.dll from the disc, I can get to char select where it tells me my spell files are outdated. If I use either of the new ones, I get 0xc0000096 or 0xc000001d, seems to change back and forth between the two error codes. I hope the lack of resolution means they're busy figuring it out.

I am having the exact same issue as greatdane.

I DID get it to work on my laptop. So I tried a fresh install of everything. Still cant find the client and crashing with the appl error (0xc etc).

I have no started using the Emulauncher to start the game, I also loaded Duxa's all in one installer and tried that. He updated for this patch and it worked fine on the laptop install.

Current machine is running
ACPI x64-based PC
AMD 760G vid chips
ATI Radeon HD 5700 series vid card.
AMD Phenom II X6 1035T processor

So it's possible that it works with a 32-bit OS but not 64-bit. It's a clue, at least.

OFG! I FIXED IT.

Researching the error code I found how to review the event log. There is was telling me my Spyware Dr anti virus program was causing the termination. So I shut that down, repatched thru Emulator but rather then launch from the emulator, I just launched the program like usual. PRESTO. I am in the game.

I play on the Project 1999 server, Wanderfar. Hope this works for you guys too!

Huh, yeah. BitDefender apparently fucked it up as well, and it's kinda tricky to shut that off. There's an option that looks like it disables the anti-virus, and I tried it without any luck. Deeply buried in a bunch of sub-menus was a way to actually desable the entire thing and that did it. Hah.
