I understand what you are saying, but I disagree that level is some kind of filter for idiocy. You are no more capable of character judgment just because your toon has this or that number associated with the amount of mobs they've slain.

When I started live, it was the week of kunark release (running took much longer, etc.). I know it only took one or two instances of me LFG, finding a group across the world, running out there, only to find that my spot was filled or the group disbanded, that I started asking more questions. "Who is your healer?" "How long have you been there / will you be there?" "Are you in a guild?" ..etc.. Seriously, it's not that hard to figure out if someone is full of shit or not.

If the guy got you once, shame on him. If he gets you again, shame on you.

You got got; it's that simple. Chalk it up to experience; be more careful next time.
