Oh I hate those too. Now, I don't want them to be banned, to be clear. People put a lot of hours into their horribly named toons, I just want to encourage a culture of better names.

1) have it be relatively easy to type
2) don't remind me that it's obviously a bot
3) don't remind me about real life which I'm obviously trying to avoid

I think these are reasonable requests and I'm happy to submit them to the record

Just use the rando name generator. Gazuggbuk is probably not taken. Was able to make multiple chars immediately with it on blue.

I don't think they were strict at all in OG EverQuest. I was that annoying kid who petitioned once a week to get new surname, and I remember the GMs laughing at some the ridiculous ones I chose (Thunder`Snake). Was on a Human Monk too. Someone told me on P99 only elves are allowed to use `, but I can confirm we 100% used ` as humans.

Another surname I used on almost all of my characters towards the end was simply "X." For whatever reason this isn't allowed on P99 even though it was 100% allowed on OG EQ.
