Do you ever log into the character selection screen and just stare at it?

I find the *idea* of playing P99 / classic EQ appealing, but when I come back the sheer amount of time that needs to be sunk in the game and the annoyances with how this particular server is run all come rushing back and I usually run around on a newbie toon and log out.

i have toons camped at like wc ring, kc entrance, hammer hill, when im bored i camp around and buff people, or i look for lower level players grinding xp, hunt them down and buff them

until a new P99 PVE server launches, when i really wanna play EQ these days its TAKP, they really have an incredible server, client, and community.

made it to Nashkel and settled on a party, ditched the thief and his necromancer friend. resisted the urge to google anything, going to the fair next cause i do remember a quest there. then the mines

Why is your DEX and STA so poor? Handicapping for extra challenge early on? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If not, Wis and Cha are fairly worthless for a mage I believe in BG unless you make them more valuable with a mod. You can put a bard on the team or use another NPC mage with decent wis/int if you like high lore auto-identifies without having to rest over and over to ID stuff. High WIS will someday have good value if you plan to level this char obscenely high in BGII for the wish spells. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

However for most people, 18/19 Dex and 16 Con are very helpful for all the non-warrior classes in Bg1 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
