i think magnetaress represents a forum draw. not aids.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

I think what killed this board is time. When it started out we were 10 yrs younger, many college aged and interested in socializing. We were cool n normal, in our real self sort of ways, because we existed in real life. Facebook was a new thing and we were sharing ourselves basically for the first time. Most of us used 4chan and assumed the others did, but we followed rules 1 & 2 what with that adolescent horror for coming off cringe.

Then came the doxing, stalking, and many traumas. Big ban waves because the admins at times simply wanted the community dead so they wouldn't have to moderate. I suspect for many forum users, some years of subjection to supremely alienating computer-based employment with much looking at the clock on the Windows start menu. Where all friendship was lost, maybe you found a mate for awhile but by now it's fallen apart, and now your relationship with the computer is a bad one. Lot of cranky, lonely peeps with thinking disorders which weren't so bad at 22, but have been nurtured over time (especially in the angriest ones, the ones who seem unable to ever admit doing wrong or evolving, for whom showing any emotion or genuineness represents a sort of cardinal humiliation & phobia).

And hardest of all, we wore ever later into September, the replacement blood coming ever more ungrounded and childlike and evangelical for things which we grew out of before we ever found this board. But truly lower-IQ than we were who got into weird stuff like eqemu projects in 2004, and so just plain unable to detect elders and show respect. The crowd fundamentally, inarguably degraded. Time is alienating. I think it's the alienation that makes this board difficult. But what can we do but respond to it with warmth and seek new intimacies. Even with the real big crinjas

right now i am quite infatuated & sentimental about time spent. it has lasted 2 years already and i think it might last forever. finding a really good partner helps.

i just wanna spectate a few decades with lots of time spent feeling warm like this. i won't feel bad about it. i just can't relate to the totally alienated horror cases, though I suppose i might if i lost him. but i have faith i'll go first and in a long time.

feels good man

^^^^^^^^

If you can.

I have a few happy moments. I go to. Waiting for me.

I'm alone in them though. And that brings tears. Those memories are there for me, and the tears are worth it.

Maybe this is some of it to. I mean. As silly as it is. I remember this place and you guys. I am remembering. And I have had some good times here. I laugh at the worst of it now. Not derisively. Or sadisticly.

But knowingly. Really lovingly.

Here's to hoping for a few more.

Anyway glad I can't blame myself for absolutely everything.

Time to sleep. Good night peeps.
