You can still do work when losing the mob. We kept pushing the VS spawn back even when losing the mob, eventually making it so Azrael couldn't clear all of it in one day. There are raid spawns 3-4 days a week now. The spawns got split up enough between VS, Sev, Hate, Fear, etc that you have plenty of time to LNS and recover to fight over the next target. That's why we had 3-4 fights this weekend.

Coding in poopsocking would damage this server beyond repair.

I built in to my option a way around the "poop sock" issue. I.e., it's not true variance and it comes with global messages for the pops. I just think it would be more fun with more distributed mob spawns [they still spawn in a two day period, the weekend], and more hard repop resets. I think it's also more classic. Agree to disagree I guess.

I think we agree in the end result - mobs are spread out throughout the repop day and the entire week. I just think we can do it organically rather than code it in.

The problem is organically doesn't contain a mechanism for more hard resets. The whole all mobs stuck to the same timer for months on end scenario is horribly unclassic. Yes, I will admit the current day doesn't work for me, but it's the same for others when it's on XXX day that it doesn't work for them. More hard resets [hopefully with some distribution] assures that everyone gets equally fucked and a shot at mobs.

Unclassic change made server pop from 50 to 217 (Group EXP bonus)

I think you just have personal issues and you're mad, which is why all this hostility comes from Nihi.

This is just your standard counter troll to any change (IT ISNT CLASSIC)

Well neither is Tstaff proc nerf, clickies nerf, grp exp bonus, PNP and they all made the box 100x better.

Classic EQ had several hard repops a month. Supposedly we got sim repops for that, but they have been few and far between and don't reset the mob timers resulting in basically double mob loot windfalls.
