This was bound to happen. High end Raiders that become bored. Demanding all kinds of silly crap from the GM's. And now that most at the very top have their epic's what else is there?

Heck, I seem to spend more time myself on the Forums than playing. Maybe its contagious. I guess when and if Velious comes out a lot will be back. Most people just don't have the time to play like they did in their teens. So that adds to the problems also.

Numbers are better now than 6 months ago, summer will help as well. With this type of players, sometimes 700 feels like 2500 anyway. Do we really want 4 groups in Highkeep basement?

Actually this just shows how classic the server is. Same arguments went on a decade ago when the heavy duty raiders burned through all the content and then whined. Every time, "EQ is going to die. EQ sucks. GMs don't care, etc." I noticed that EQ is still trucking along spitting out expansions.
EQ is like President Obama. Still not following through on its opponents promises.

Here's a thought: The server is just fine and 90% of the population doesn't give a shit at all about a bunch of entitled babies leaving. I mean honestly, it's classic EQ, what do you expect to do after you're best in slot for everything? Roll alts or kindly get the fuck out.

don think the server will die at all.

However I do feel that more should be done to entice new players to join P99...

Can't really imagine they have a marketing budgeting as this is run not for profit.

Remember that word of mouth brings a significant number of new players to the server and so the burden of recruiting falls squarely on the shoulders of current players.

Tell all your friends, Galaa.
I tried because someone messaged me all shady like on mmorpg.com.

"pssssst don't play on live the good stuff is on project 1999"

Already posted in my guild forums (many of whom are ex eq players), however they aren't interested to come back as our guild are currently active in swtor. But one thing I've noticed is that they never heard of P99 at all. Makes me wonder if they had known about it prior to the release of swtor (we all quit rift online and we're gameless for aperiod of time), it might entice them to play in P99 and skip swtor.

P99 is not widely known to many people imo...
