The community is terrible in any moba, and more often than not a game is decided by who has the bigger noobs on the team. It get's very frustrating because usually the outcome of a game is very clear after the first few fights, and the snowball effect (doubled because of levels AND equipment both making you stronger) makes it even harder for people to make up the lost ground, especially for unskilled players.

Learning curves are super steep, and it is very hard to learn the game when you are constantly being flamed by everyone. This happens in every moba, and not just specific ones.

Bottom line is, after a while MOBA games just feel like a roll of the dice, unless you play with a fixed team, in which case you will be facing high level basement dwellers which also doesn't make the game much more entertaining, unfortunately

Dota2 > Heroes of Newerth > Smite > Heroes of the Storm > LoL > Infinite Crisis > WC3 Dota Mod

Sorry, your fanboy bias is showing. How do you argue that denying is such a complex strategy and that the laning phase is ultra boring without it and then rank HOTS above LOL? HOTS doesn't have denying. You don't even have to kill enemy creeps in HOTS. You just AFK in lane until the first PVE objective spawns.

I think it definitely makes you a DotA2 fanboy if you can rank games you've never played over League of Legends. I'm assuming you've played that, right?

Oops, I meant to say I haven't played any MOBA besides HOTS for over a year. The reason I ranked it higher than LoL is because I disliked more things about LoL than I did about HOTS, it is as simple as that. No person has time to play more than 1 MOBA (I do not even have time to play 1), so it really does not matter what comes at position 2-20.

I had a game of LOL last night as a support. Jinx went straight to the second bush near the enemy tower, didn't get found out but tried to assault both the enemy ADC and support - did nothing notable and flashed away.

That prompted an early jungle gank from Hecarim (pre-6) because she had no flash... and being about as good as that for the rest of the game it snowballed... all because of one shitty player. I can see why people get mad. I can't remember if I was Nami or Sona but either way my heals weren't enough to keep him alive.

You can continue to defend the archaic mechanic of denying, or you can realize that it's such a shit mechanic that every other MOBA evolution besides DotA2 has omitted it and stop pretending that that's what makes it good. Nobody plays DotA2. Nobody plays HotS. Nobody plays HoN. Nobody plays Smite.

LoL is unquestionably the best moba in the genre second only to Smite since it's the only moba that offers an FPS/MMO style perspective. Dota 2 is a game for sadomasochists/people who enjoy things like auto-erotic asphyxiation. The responsiveness of dota 2 is enough to cause cancer. Dota 2 does not take more skill, it just has god awful tedious moronic game mechanics that give it the illusion of being more difficult. If you think that some how denying adds more skill to the game, you're a fucking idiot. If you think that losing gold when you die adds more skill to the game, you're a fucking idiot.

LoL is not more casual in anyway whatsoever and the proof is in the fact that none of these retards dissing league could ever make it to diamond+ rank. Try playing people of my skill level and see how "casual" the game is as I embarrass the living shit out of you and have your entire team raging at you.
