Client Crashes

Any updates from our server admins on this one? I'm having this issue as well post-patch.

I'm continually having this problem as well since the last update. It happens mainly on my Windows 8.1 machine. I lock up when trying to enter world, 80% of the time. Also, about 30% of the time, when i make it to character select, it will still say i need to update the spell files (which i have done no less than 20 times)

I've tried a fresh install. I've tried copying the entire game client from my laptop (Windows 7, no problems) and am still getting this error

This is also hitting me. It seems random too.

**Edit: Now it seems every single character I have is crashing on load. I reinstalled the latest spellfile set to see if that helps, no go.

What's going on? Is there anything I can provide to help debug these crashes?

Ok, so I just did a 100% fresh clean install. Didn't add or modify anything.

I still crash. Every single time I try to load up.

What gives? What can I provide to help determine what the problem is?

I'm getting frustrated. calling it a night. I've spent 5 hours today trying to get EQ to work normally.

Devs, any idea wtf is going on? This is frustrating, as I just want to have fun in EQ. :/

Are you having google chrome open? I've been having tons of issues with the cashe jacking up, and freezing all my processes. This is the only time eq crashes for me.

I am experiencing the same error as the OP.. pretty frequently. I do not know what is causing it. Sometimes I boot up EQ and I don't get the error. Other times I'll get it 5-6 times in a row before finally working. Major PITA cuz you have to wait for your character to desync.
