Better suited but impersonal. Sometimes the best place to start is with people you interact with on a daily basis.
Also, EQ is a shared interest. A stepping stone to interacting with others that may have had issues like this (ie: chat in game). Face to face confrontation or even audio chat on this may be too difficult at first.

to be completely honest, you should stop sitting in front of a computer and playing EQ; you're only falling into a slippery slope and hiding from your problems behind your fungi tunic. playing video games is not healthy for you right now and it's not going to fix any of your problems.

you should join the army or something..the good thing is you're still very young. what you do in your 20-30 will usually shape the rest of your life.

Join the army?? He wants to NOT be depressed for the rest of his life. Bad advice.

Nobody spells "mom" as "mom" anywhere in the EU.

Some American jerkoff on a troll account.

Good thread topic though, and some interesting responses [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Military is a great option for some people, like college though it isn't right for everybody.

Don't let the computer swallow you up and make you forget about your RL problems. That's fine if you're a responsible person and just need to relax after a day of work, but it's not fine for someone who needs to be more responsible. Your parents probably don't understand your computer problem. All they know is they want you to be real because they care about you and want you to have a future. Forgive them.

We know what happens to ppl who use their computer to escape. Their attitude falls. Their health declines. Sedentary lifestyles are a recipe for early death. They lose their job skills. They become unemployable. For someone who's already severely disabled and not employable, computers are one way for them to cope with their disability and also a way to potentially become employable again. And yet for all people, no matter whether they have a job or not or have a disability or not, computers can become a unhealthy habit.

Remember that a coward might live another day but they'll have a thousand nightmares, whereas a courageous person might not live as long, but their dreams will be good enduring ones.
