![]() Inherited wealth isn't always a blessing. This dude that lives across from me in the apt complex has a rich dad. This guy is 46 and looks like he could die tomorrow. He's fucked up on drugs, his body is fucked up from a drunk driving accident, he has fake teeth cause the ones he had rotted out. Dude weighs 125 at best. Guy literally looks like a walking skeleton. 46 looking like he's 66.
I wouldn't trade lives with him for anything, and his dad's a millionaire+ and he doesn't have to work. Meanwhile I slave away at UPS every day to build my future. My life is better than his.

Inherited wealth is a great boon if you also work. Like or dislike Trump, he took that "small" loan of a million dollars and did something with it, and went to school and worked hard, unlike your neighbor that squandered that birthing lottery win.

Even if the gov’t tried to tax it more than it already is, the parents would just try to get it to their kids through some other means It’s a natural biological instinct for a parent to want to provide as good of a life as they can for their offspring. Whether some of them recognize that boundaries and responsibilities for their kids are still important to prevent them from becoming spoiled entitled assholes is what’s not a given | |||
