Get a G15 Keyboard. You can macro to twist 4 songs, 3, 2. Whatever you like. Works like a charm, its hard to type in chat while its going but it saves some finger stress.

Yah Taamas i'm with you. I quit before they implemented /melody. So I only ever did it manually.

Never thought about using the G15 to do it! I have one myself but forgot about being able to record on the keyboard... duh!

Will the bard song macro /melody (number of the bard song desired) work? If there are no macros that work for twisting bard songs then I really dont want to play one again...
The darkest deepest depths of hell are reserved for /melody and all those who cling to it.

I would have songs all on the keyboard assigned to 1-8 (1-6 originally [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] ) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

tap 1, song starts, tap 1, then 2. song starts, tap 2, tap 5.

this while running around behind the mob and tapping ` to attack, then twisting in a mezz song for the add that just appeared, off-tanking the OTHER add that appears five seconds later, right after i refresh song 1, then continue where I left off, etc, etc, etc.

In a casual situation, macros are fine, but when the shit hits the fan, I think I'd prefer the flexibility of doing it manually.
This is my opinion too. I never used /melody. It could actually result in a wipe when manual twisting would save the day.

Bards in EQ make me realize that I am, in fact, getting older. My broken-ass hands can't handle all that much twisting these days.

Still gonna roll one eventually and just suck at it, though. Bards are too much fun.

There are several Memory Key programs you can set to press 1,1 2,2 etc.. with X second delays in order to emulate this-- I know several bards in our guild used it during raids just so they could slack off. Never could get it to work myself, but I remember being super jealous during Rathe raid attempts. I believe as long as you don't go AFK you aren't breaking any rules either.

I just suck at Twisting. And I love playing a Bard but I can't walk and chew gum at the same time. So I get one up to like 30ish and like wow people want me to group lol. Good luck with that. Ain't happening. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

/melody doesn't work as others have said. My advice to cut keystrokes in half (from 11,22,33 to 1,2,3) is to create 8 macros like someone else suggested on page 1 of the thread.

[1]
/stopsong
/cast 1

[2]
/stopsong
/cast 2

[3]
/stopsong
/cast 3

etc.

Never use /pause command because that will prevent you from starting a new song if you get bashed or miss a note.
