Quest Issue: Kaiaren bugged - still eating items for monk epic.

BUT, if the npc talks to you and goes thru the quest text, then it is pretty much saying you should be high enuff level (pretty much what schortt said).

Yes, I went through the whole conversation with Kaiaren as described in the wiki, so I was pretty sure he would complete the quest.

I understand what you're saying and acknowledged that. I heard of problems with True Form Kaiaren by the lake for the final turn-in and wasn't planning to do that hand-in until I spoke to nilbog/rogean, but I was pretty sure that mad kaiaren would comply with this quest, but I guess not[You must be logged in to view images. The "celestial fists" book and the "book of the celestial fist" are 2 different items. Some people don't cycle the celestial fists book to the true form of kaiaren and then end up losing both their book and fang. This isnt a bug, this is how the quest should work.

What we're talking about is mad form of kaiaren not giving back "celestial fists" book. The only use of this turn in is to spawn the true form of kaiaren in order to receive the book of the celestial fists. I've heard many people making the mistake of not cycling the book to the true form of kaiaren before handing the fang, but this isn't what we're talking about here.

You mentioned this turn-in for the mad Kaiaren spawns the true-form Kaiaren, Now, if true-form Kaiaren is already up, does that mean that the mad-form part will be bugged/broken until the true-form despawns after the final turn-in (if he does, that is) from a previous attempt?

It shouldnt be, a friend of mine gave his celestial fist (book) multiple times to Mad Kaiaren. When he went to the true form of Kaiaren, there werent 1 but like 15 Kaiaren, because he popped one every time he did a turn in. I believe that if true form is up, you don't need to do the turn in to mad form of kaiaren, but regardless, mad kaiaren should not be eating your celestial fist (book), especially if he answered your hails and the dialogue for you at lvl 32, for me at lvl 35.

If you gave Kaiaren (either forms of Kaiaren) the items called "book of celestial fists" and the demons fang, then yes, there is a bug.

However, many people go through the quest too fast and dont recognize that there are 2 different versions of the book, and hand in the fang with the first book you get called simply "celestial fist". This is user mistake.

I really wasn't sure what the minimum level requirement was. I thought it was 50, but then I saw somewhere it was confirmed that it is not a lvl 50 requirement (someone mentioned they did it at 48) so I just assumed it could be done since I did not have any problems with the hand-ins at any other parts.

Can we get some research done on minimum level required for monk epic?

Currently it is written to require 46 or higher. Classically, if the user level was irrelevant, I will reimburse based on this information.

Additionally, pending update, the true or mad forms of Kaiaren will reward the epic.

I will also reimburse if items were lost due to this being incorrect. Give me some time, and bump your reimbursement petitions once per day till I get it sorted out.
