Yeah, it's unfortunate. And I honestly don't read most group chat until it becomes worth reading and interacting.

I started my first character on Green back in.... November? I didn't want to SSF, so I got a lot of help from old friends from Blue and Red to gear my Ranger. Efficiently soloing ended around level 40, so I've been doing anything from duo's to full-groups since then (57 now).

Solo and Group Enchanters are two different skill-sets. That being said, the number of shitty Enchanters I've seen who can't lock down a multi-pull in an outside zone shocks me still. I don't remember seeing so many mechanically-poor players on Blue or Red. Also knowledge-poor -- half the ones I've grouped with are using super expensive spells (high level mezzes, fascination etc..) for locking down mobs that die in 30 seconds. Then they're always OOM...

I'm convinced 40% of the player-base still uses the default arrow keys to move instead of WASD.

80% of you keyboard-turn and run backwards, directly into mobs and at half-speed, making things worse than if they just used a spell.

I'm positive around 80% of the playerbase uses their mouse for nearly every action, not hot keys. For those that do hot key, it seems a decent amount just do it to locate the button in a more convenient place to be mouse-clicked.

Default Everquest plays like complicated flight sim, if you let it. Play it like any other game, including learning the smaller mechanics and it becomes a lot easier.

I guess to be clear, if someone is completely blowing their class and not doing half the things they should be doing, a gentle reminder is fine...

But if someones performing 95% of their class duties (especially an intense class like Enc), please don't comment on the 5%

Enchanter can be brutal sometimes, solo or grouped. When I played Necromancer I had to spell swap often, but as an Enchanter in a group you have to spell swap like twice per fight

Agreed. But thatÂ’s also what makes it fun, busy and engaging. Classes werenÂ’t created equal, to do disadvantage those that canÂ’t do more.

Spell swapping is a huge bottleneck and something easy to improve, if you learn to use hot keys.

I use a $50 Corsair mouse with 2 extra buttons on the side. One is set to click my GCD and the other is simply “alt”. Alt + #1-8 casts your spells. Alt + #1-8 also mems your spells into that gem when you’re in your spellbook. Can you can also turn pages without clicking them.

Clean up your spellbook and group your spells by use. Totally useless and overwritten spells to the back of the book. Everything else to the front, between pages 1-4.

Right click to forget spell.
Left click on new spell.
Alt+# to mem spells using keys into empty gem.

Mouse moves 6” across the screen, once, and you’re cycled. Simple as.
