They should be thankful.. Every mage should read this:

TL;DR - It's more beneficial for a mage to pop out mod rods, instead of nuking, even if it's clerics that are nuking.

Interesting read. I feel like I remember reading that way back when.

Funny thing is, they did nerf mod rods. There was a cooldown on the effect so you could only use them so often, and maybe something else. Mages still had to summon them, but the days of burning through a dozen rods per fight per cleric were over.

What's even funnier, is that Mages were essentially reduced to a second rate raid class. Second rate damage, with limited utility (Rods, COH). Having 2-3 on a raid was plenty, even on a 72 man planes raid. Less when they reduced the raid size for GoD.

Classic "be careful what you wish for."

Please explain to me how mages are so OP? We have the same set of restrictions that goes along with classic as far as i know, maybe the DW pet is about it? But dont complain nerf just because you cant do what a mage can. Lets please not turn this into WoW where everyone screams because so and so is better at killing then i am. QQ

About the only thing that mages can do that I can't is solo level while AFK.
That was recently addressed after 5 months. I know that the enchanter class is more versatile than the mage class. It wasn't my point and I also do not wish to get into that sort of discussion.

And what the hell is QQ? (don't answer, I know what it is. it's simply annoying.)

Offtopic, sorry about this:

I basically could have done this on level 29, since all soloing involves for a mage is tossing out a 5 point nuke and occasionally healing the pet.

So your bone is just that i can put a pet on attack, go run and take a piss, then come back and hope to god that i remembered to flush because im worried about needing to make sure my pet is healed before he gets killed? Do you understand that a mage without a pet is worse off then say a wizard? Mages backbone is the pet, its main focus is on the pet for a reason...Without it, u might as well roll a wizzy for better nukes...

I don't think anyone is arguing this. A Mage without a pet should be worst than a Wizard, correct. A Mage's bread and butter is his pet, correct. A Mage can do things a Wiz can't, and vise veras. That's how the game was designed.

What got some people ranting was the statement 'bards along with mages are broken'. This thread was about Bard issues and was derailed in the first post.

And since we're back on topic now:

When a bard song gets interrupted / fizzles, it doesn't stop the cast bar for the Bard.

Fixed, pending update.

Hey good feed back guys, I'm going to stick it out [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'm 6 now, would give anything to find a group but thanks to the twinkage from said individuals it's much easier to level than it would be, I can at least solo yellows...

It'll be easier when I get approved for an IP exemption so me and my bro can both play.

Sounds like its not a big a deal as it seems. I mean ya I've noticed the one bug where interrupts dont register and true if your attentative it's no problem.

Always wanted to play a bard on live. Loved my SK but man, to do it all over again without getting a pre-nerf circlet of shadows is almost impossible lol.

You heal your pet while you are soloing? I'd rethink your strategy brew.
