So in the late 90's, a terrible band called Eiffel 65 released a song called "Blue", which was a somewhat early techno/pop song with the chorus lyrics beings as follows:

"(And I'm) Blue da-ba-dee-da-ba-die" repeated several times.

However, due to the distortion used on the voice because terrible 90's technopop, and also because come on those can't be the REAL words that would be awful and lazy, the lyrics were often misheard as "(And I'm) Blue if I was green I would die" because the entire song is just about everything being blue. None of it makes sense. It was a terrible song by a one-hit wonder band but GODDAMN was it catchy and it fucking BLEW MY 13 YEAR OLD MIND when it came out and actually got me into techno music.
