I was on a mission of obtaining a fallen companions corpse. While I traveled I quietly walked through a terrible and dark place full of little 16 bit goblins. They spouted the name of this as Clan Runnyeye. Deep in the bowls of this noxious place out came a giant eye. (By Brell's Beard!) I didn't hesitate and smote it with a mighty Smitten! Maybe it was seeking a fresh clean bottle of water (for an eye flush) or it wanted to make me it's pet. I wasn't going to give it the chance. Upon the Eyes corpse? Shall we call it a corpse? We'll call it a corpse. I obtained a lens that allowed me the ability to see at great distances.

I obtained my friends corpse, and brought him back to life using a sprinkle of water obtained from a lake within an island hidden in a dangerous sea. After he recovered, we escaped as quietly as we entered. Onward to another adventure.

Back in 1999/2000 getting my Staff of the Observers was one of the pentacle moments of my EQ career.

Also, I remember journeyman boots requiring some kind of quest in the Karanas killing a named Griffon. Am I going senile or was this a thing?

Some Douche Borrxx (sp?) evil eye bareballed a young alt of mine so I merked him and disposed of his lense.
