Your mana is fine in groups with a clarity or a bardsong or if someone else is pulling and you get a chance to med a little between pulls. If none of those things are true, there's always disease-cloud-only mode like Brut says.

Blood Ember Gauntlets do help, probably a good reason not to roll an iksar. (Boots are also an underrated soloing aid, despite the long cast time.)

I'm about to start my old main again as an Ogre SK, the frontal immunity coupled with spamming the lvl 9 darkness or debuff or whatever was freakin' great.

But DE plate helms look so hottt...

A shadow KNIGHT you say?

Hmmm, perhaps....but, have you considered becoming a shadow....archer?

Yes! Indeed! Shadow archers are some of the strongest adventurers in the world!!!

You simply need a decent bow (this one should do nicely http://wiki.project1999.com/Runed_Oak_Bow ) and many bags full of arrows!

My shadow archer is a dark elf...and I work very hard to fix faction around the world....but, were I to pick again, I think I would go with an erudite (they have 5 less dex, but 8 more int).

INT is great for spells (very useful for adding damage)....and STR for bow damage....DEX later on for procs though.

But! Using archery and your pet....along with snare and disease cloud to keep agro....you can kill most anything. Shadow archery is VERY strong....even stronger than a rangers capabilities!!!!

I imagine considering archery caps at like 75 or something a shadow archer has to retire quite early in his career

Nope! The cap does make you miss a bit more....but you can counter a lot of it by using skills (like str transfer, AC reduction, grim aura, stuff like that)....and, while archery caps low, offense doesn't. So your attack rating isn't HORRIBLE compared to an equal leveled ranger.

Add onto that the pet that follows along hitting whatever you are fighting (and potentially dots) and you more than make up for it.
