eq2 pvp progression server

I was looking at it the other day and i like how many class/race combos there are and that you press more than 1 button as a melee.

I played EQ2 on the PVP server, it was pretty fun actually. Coercers are pretty funny, they get a debuff that makes you take damage when you spend a resource. One of the core abilities everyone gets is "sprint" which makes you run really fast until your endurance or whatever is used up. Coercer would drop that ability on someone running away and they'd take like 100% of their life in damage in a couple seconds and drop over dead.

EQ2 is basically an EQ/WoW hybrid.

there were corpse runs in EQ2 pvp - unless they changed it after I quit which was around the Kunark expansion

EQ2 PVP >>>>>> EQ1 pvp - the choices for fighting was way more dynamic than anything avail here. So much going on which could be good or bad thing I suppose as one could argue thats what makes this over here more 'pure'.

( epics were not even completed at that point for time frame reference )

ranking system and titles make it very fun once you actually have a title, theres 3 factions

Freeps ( Evil players )

Q's ( Good players )

Exiles who are either in between changing factions, or permanently exiled for pvp

Good and evil have a level range i think its 4 up or down, exiles have the same range, but an exile can be attacked by anyone

exiles can attack their own factions


If they have the same free to play models ill be on the server

Ill most likely be playing a SK with 4 necros and a defiler boxed

Last team on velious server was guardian warden and 4 wizards, was able to solo X2 epic mobs all the way up to endgame shit, was great being able to box instances too and it is very very easy to box eq2

Maybe the subscription will keep the dregs of society away. Gonna look more into this.

You can select a different instance of whatever zone you're in iirc. So if you don't like the people in commonlands, you go to another instance with different or less people.


I might still be sour from playing day 1. I was expecting an eq sequel and got a different mmo with everquest in its name.

Only if theres 50+ people in the zone. And that's just because they didn't want people crashing profusely. I remember dropping 700 bucks on a Geforce 8800 to play this.
