I'm not sure how the EQ models are stored - I know s3dspy can also let you extract sound files (for instance, to get rid of the thunder crackle sound by modifying the mp3 or wav file its contained in).
Some other fun changes I did when messing around with it were to swap race textures (giving the half elf thong to ogres [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.])
