"there are hundreds of prizes to be won" synonyms: secure, gain, garner, collect, pick up, walk away/off with, carry off; More gain (a person's attention, support, or love), typically gradually or by effort. "you will find it difficult to win back their attention" synonyms: captivate, steal, snare, capture "she won his heart" gain the support or favor of someone by action or persuasion. "her sense of humor had won him over at once" manage to succeed or achieve something by effort. "talent won out over bureaucracy" archaic manage to reach (a place) by effort. "many lived to win the great cave" obtain (ore) from a mine. noun noun: win; plural noun: wins 1. a successful result in a contest, conflict, bet, or other endeavor; a victory. "a win against Norway" synonyms: victory, triumph, conquest "a 1–0 win" Furthermore, we can tailor the definition of winning to the meaning intended for ever quest PvP. I don't think any have doubted that winning PvP in ever quest is of the following conditions: 1.) Winning a 1v1 duel. 2.) Yellow text without dying, mostly notable in world PvP. 3.) Guild level PvP can have a few ways to reach condition "win". a.) Disrupting or preventing a raid with a small number of opposing guild, even if this results in total loss. Example: guild a wants to slay naggy with 25. Opposing force prevents nagafen from being slain with only 10 players, this would be a victory condition for the smaller guild. b) Defeating an opposing guild and claiming objective. Example: a guild wants to slay cazic Thule, guild B comes and defeats the other guild and slays cazic Thule. Guild B is the winner. Example 2: Guild a battles guild b, guild b claims cazic Thule but then receives a total wipe to guild a. In this case guild b wins condition objective, but guild a wins total defeat(guild b requires consent of other guild to retrieve corpses, loss of zone control). 3.) Loss of majority in non contested zone: group/guild PvP in world zone, with no raid objective. Loss of zone control in non raid environment resulting in consent to be rezzed or recover corpses. These are some clear ways to help understand if your guild has won or lost PvP in everquest. I hope this has helped clear some confusion on the subject. I think I shall wiki this shit. __________________
