Is it just human nature to complain about everything??
Even when it's donation based?
Even when these dervs are doing this out of their SPARE time?? for FREEE???

I don't see others doing this often.

And, you want to complain about it STILL?

It's as if history is repeating. Nerf this. Nerf that. This sucks. That sucks......and Look at how EQ went down. By listening to all the whiners.
people voice their concerns. Always have always will.
One of the reasons why we have laws and government.

It's the internet, it's what people on the internet do.

I love how anyone expressing an opinion on any subject which deviates even the slightest bit from that of a mod/dev/GM/guide is considered to be whining and/or complaining. Why even have forums if people shouldn't share their opinions?

Decisions about an individual's account are not a matter of public opinion. If you have an issue, use appropriate methods of dispute resolution, such as the petition forum. We are not going to get baited into debating the issue publically every time someone wants to pick and choose which parts of the story they want to tell, to further stir up drama. If you choose to singlehandedly hijack every thread in a public forum into your personal stage, spotlight, and venue for retaliation for an action against your account, don't expect to have an account very long.

We all have a job to do and there are only so many hours in the day with which to do it. If you choose to attempt to consume the majority of those hours to feed an insatiable desire for attention, you will find yourself on the bitter end of wise time management. Don't expect lube.

They say the same things to me, and I just stepped foot on their lands!

Well if you want one specific example, i saw a GM on the forum act like a hardass about names that break the rules (names that mean something) and in another thread posts a picture of himself with about 10 names that break the rules. I called out the absurdity of this in a post, he then said "Just wait till i get online [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]" and then wiped 4 pages of macros, my friendlist and my name, basically erasing all my characters history. I picked a name that broke the rule (Bilbus Baggons) and he didnt notice because he was too busy being happy getting back at me for calling him out on the forum.

Yesterday i asked for my name back, explaining this to Uthguard in tells, saying that the way my name was removed gave a corrupt cop flavor to the GMing, and he suspended my account on the spot.
You do know that information is stored locally right?
Your saying the GM was able to access your computer and delete files off your hard drive? That's a huge accusation that if true would destroy this server instantly. (I wouldnt play here anymore)

OR

Is it that when you got your name changed you never changed the files in your EQ directory to match your new game name?

As for suspending your account for no reason other than to be corrupt cops... I'd wag my finger at them for that but I am unable to trust your post as 100% accurate.

It's pretty hilarious how entitled people feel on a free server. Hey, guess what, this isn't a paid service and therefore you probably don't want to piss off the devs/gm's.

I just learned that this information is stored locally. And by erasing my characters history, I just mean that by changing someones name, they erase the long history (when youve played 46 levels) of that character, good or bad. By that i mean reputation, the things youve done. I think they do that because they dont invest the time needed to climb that high in levels themselves, and cant understand why someone would be pissed off by a "simple" name change (which in my case, on top of that, was done to get back at me for pointing out the absurdity of the rule on the forum).

And yea, the reason why Uthguard suspended my account is stricly because i asked for my name back and saying that the way my name was changed gave the GMing a corrupt cop flavor. The exchange lasted about 3 tells and thats the "worse" thing i said in that exchange.
