Haha, I used to check for stave mobs all the time. Most of the mobs that I would kill wouldn't drop any weapon despite having a stave graphic. Was disheartening.

I believe that only one type of sarnak can drop a SoS on p99, but I always forget which one it is. Too many names start with an "a" ... lol.

Boring night overall! KC was packed. No nameds were up in HS, but I managed to almost die a few times anyway and DID end up hatting + recharging. Medded up on my SK. STILL nothing up in HS. Nothing for the highlight reel, that's fo sho.

Having obtained a handful of Staves of Shielding and a significantly larger number of Burnished Wooden Staves and Water Sprinklers of the Forgiven during my Chardok sniping runs, I have only seen the SoS drop off of one type of sarnak, as Tecmos states. It does start with an 'a,' so if you see a janissary holding a staff, don't hold your breath [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Similarly, I have only seen one type of sarnak holding a Sarnak Battle Shield.
