90 minutes bonus XP for one character? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] P99 logic, it seems.

I think it's amazing that people aren't happier about what happened last night as a whole.
#1. Interview with Brad with our p1999 devs - fucking awesome #2. Giveaways from our devs - fucking awesome #3. Velious officially annouced with a date - double fucking awesome #4. "Donation" or "Investment" call it what you want, but actually getting something decently beneficial in return is fucking awesome as well. hell, just the ability to play Classic EQ for free after all the hard work the devs put in is amazing as well. now wheres my guise

Actually though Cuk is kinda right. Beta wont be out by end of month. Pantheon kickstarter ends the 22nd. If your giving people who donate a week early into beta then that means beta will at the earliest be out March 2nd.

Pretty sure you aint getting dragon loots for donating to pantheon, not sure how you consider an XP pot to be P2win nor game breaking. We have had server wide events where we get XP boosts before.. I don't recall anyone crying in the general chat that wasn't classic or that they wasn't going to play until it was over.
If more people back pantheon then we hit those GLOBAL milestones then EVERYONE will benefit from this, even you cheap skate fucks who haven't ever donated a single dollar to the actual server. You play here for free, yet whine on these forums as if you are entitled to something I will never understand some of you guys.

I hate DLC, I hate cash shops, I hate pay to win.
However I do like new online games (especially with a classic subscription model), and in this case Brad McQuaid is building something special... and if we're brutally honest he needs every bit of help he can get if he's going to reach that kickstarter target. So how ironic that an emulated EQ server could be called upon to help. I've already pledged $20 before but am thinking about putting some more in there depending on how far they get to the target. Dishing out a few 90 minute XP potions as an incentive? Where's the harm. The only people I can see with a legitimate reason to rage are the EC fat cats or Chardok AOE organizers. Who cares if Soandso XP'd for 60 minutes earlier and got 90 minutes of XP for it? You?

A few notes about EQLive potions: They persist through death. So if you pop a potion and 2 minutes in you get trained, you don't lose the EXP Buff They are not dispellable. Their duration functions like any other buff. So... IF they work like EQLive potions... You could be a leach in a Chardok group, log in for 3 minutes during the AEing and grab an invite, get that 18% of a level, then camp out. Repeat x 30. Instead of sitting there AFK for 20 min wasting away the potion inbetween respawns. However I am not sure how you could do it such that the EXP bonus doesn't let you camp-bank it.
