And just so you realize, we already have a government. Yet, Chicago still has record breaking murder stats year over year. Chicago has some of the strictest firearms law in the entire country. Why is not working? Why are blacks still acting like savages who assign no intrinsic value to others' lives? He phrased it in such a way that sounded pretty racist, but I think a charitable interpretation of what he was saying is "why is violent crime over represented in black communities, even when controlling for economic status?".

I think there is far too much violent crime in poor black communities. I want black kids to grow up prosperous and have a good future and thrive. The cultural elements that actively discourage academic achievement (it's called "acting white") are a huge problem. Many current black academics and commentators agree with this. If this makes me a racist, then all I can say is no it doesn't. Wanting black kids to do well is kind of the opposite of racist. Lefties need to grapple with this issue and address it honestly, instead of yelling and screaming racism when it's completely inapplicable.

Far left media like msnbc constantly hammering home the point that young black men are screwed and everything is stacked against them and they will never achieve anything because of how terrible and racist our society is sure doesn't help, especially when it's not true. We currently live in the least racist society and least racist time in all of human history, and disputing that betrays a massive ignorance of history and the rest of the world.

When I teach you how political and social institutions perpetuate inequality I also teach you HOW TO perpetuate inequality.

Likewise, when you teach black kids that they are disadvantaged, and everything is stacked against them....they end up believing that about themselves.

You know, you're probably right: something like 0.00001% of the reason why minorities are less well off than non-minorities is because they are taught to think they should be disadvantaged.

But do you know what the other 99.9999% is? Systemic disadvantage.

Think about this:

- We think that children need to literally see a person of color heroic lead for them to be able to imagine that they too could become a heroic lead.

- Yet we dont think that every leader everywhere saying that the system is stacked against you and you should fear every person of power and nobody will give you any shot at anything... has no effect on children wanting to make something of themselves.

Just think about that.
