I would like to be a fantasy author, or at least try my hand at writing a book. I think it would be pretty good. I just don't have the motivation to do such a large project. I already made a map of my fantasy world in gimp, though i lost the file. I wrote a few short outlines that are still in a notebook somewhere. It would be a "high fantasy" rather than "epic fantasy" where magic and the supernatural coexist with and take main stage to the story rather than being part of the background. I don't pretend that my story would be original, in fact the vast majority of my story is borrowed from other works. But it would basically be about a pair of young wizards, both who attend a magic academy. One of them learns that he's part of a bloodline of an ancient sect of wizards that use a forbidden type magic, and he is singled out and kicked out of the academy once the schoolmasters learn that he has begun to practice this forbidden magic under the tutelage of a mysterious wizard. the story is a lot more complicated than that, but that's how it starts off. I don't want to give away the story in hopes that I may end up writing it one day.
